What type of scenario (if any) do other members prefer? Would you rather have a dungeon session or enact a scene in a domestic setting?

My own preference is for a domestic setting. To me there's something far more intimate and personal about being dealt with in a Mistress's own sitting room! A dungeon setting often feels too theatrical for me.

I suppose most pro-dommes need a dungeon to cater for a wide range of tastes,and I fully understand that. The opinions of both subs and dommes/doms would be interesting.

I'd use the word "chambers" as a generic term to cover rooms where BDSM activity occurs, this will of course include dungeons.

Personally I think there could be more variety in chambers. For example -

(1) How about an Egyptian themed chamber where Mistress Cleopatra gets pampered by her slaves.

(2) A BDSM themed gym where the subs get a beasting from the nasty gym mistress.

The dungeon scene just isnt my cup of tea at all.

For me,a dungeon is one of those rooms that is furnished with all the necessary furniture and equipment for most BDSM activities,from bondage to electrics and every level of CP.

I've met one or two Mistresses who keep a special "correction room," furnished with just a whipping-horse,and maybe a whipping-stool too. I like these,because it's so obvious that you've been taken there for just one reason.

For me though,domestic will always be best.

I'm glad I'm not alone.There's never been any game-playing about my own BDSM.For me it's just an exchange between two people,that doesn't need props.

I think there is a totally different headspace created by certain environments. Put me in a school room and I can slip into that role because it is an environment I feel comfortble in. I think in a dungeon I would feel on edge, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but different.

I don't think a created environment is necessary, and sometimes it would change a session for the worse, but when it comes down to it I am a frustrated actor, and a different play space allows the thespian in me to come out. and sometimes that allows me to futher disengage from real life, connecting only with the domme, which is a large part of the reason for playing in the first place.

Moving to the specific context of the BCS Assize, I figure the ideal room for administration of cp would feature the following.

- A bare room lined with white tiles.
- A large cell for holding the subs.
- Some means of restraint, eg whipping bench.
- Comfy chairs for the lady audience.

Whether or not this would be viable for the amount of use it would get is another matter...

And a great big banner above the whipping bench that says....."TEARS ARE MANDATORY"

Interesting that I see it as an altogether older style room. Stone walls with a cold wooden floor. Stark, and austere with a whipping bench taking pride of place in the middle. There is a small amount of daylight coming through a tiny window high up. The room smells of fish oil, not overwhelming but pungent. On a small desk is a black book simply titled "punishment ledger", it lies open and my name is the last to appear in the columns.......

I also put myself into the 'domestic' scenario camp.

For the CP purist, spanking, caning, etc I think the schoolroom,office/boardroom, domestic setting can't be beaten.

I enjoy a touch of realism, whereas dungeons see to me to be more of a fantasy world where all manner of tortures can take place. Not my scene really.
